Indians can work in Canada on a temporary basis but they will require a work permit. An offer of employment from a Canadian employer is usually required before the worker may be granted a Temporary Work Permit by the Department of Employment and Social Development Canada   (ESDC). Depending on the foreign worker's country of citizenship, a Temporary Resident Visa   (TRV)  may also be needed in order to enter Canada. Before a Temporary Work Permit can be issued, the Canadian employer who wishes to hire a temporary foreign worker may need to apply for and be granted a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment   (LMIA)  by ESDC. The ESDC will grant a positive LMIA if it is satisfied that no Canadian citizen or permanent resident is available to do the job. Work Permits may be issued by Canadian immigration officials without the LMIA requirement in a limited number of situations. Once the LMIA is granted, the Canadian employer can provide a temporary job offer to the foreign worker. A Temporary Work Permit may be issued for a period of time ranging from a few days to a few years. In most cases, the process of applying for a Work Permit is twofold. First, the Canadian employer must receive government permission to hire outside Canada. Once this permission has been granted, the designated employee must apply for and receive his or her Work Permit.

The US work visa is only issued to foreigners who have gained employment in the country. For nonimmigrants, they are to be given specific visas based on the type of work they would be doing. The employers or agents are to file a petition to the USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services)to be approved before the foreigner can work in the U.S. The petition formed is tagged Form I-129 and after it is approved, the employer or agent will receive a Notice of Action (Form I-797). This notice is the approval needed for the foreigner to enter the U.S. When this is done, the next thing is to apply for the visa and pick the specific one that corresponds to what work you want to do. The work visa types include:         H-1B - For Specialty Occupation         H-1B1- Treaty-based Temporary Work Visas         H-2A - Seasonal Agricultural Workers         H-2B - Skilled and Unskilled Workers H-3  - Trainee H-4  - Dependents L-1  - Intra-company Transferees L-2  - Dependents   O    - For those with exceptional abilities   P    - For artists and Entertainers Q    - For International Culture Exchange Indians are advised to apply for their work visa at least 90 days before their employment start date. This visa is only granted to foreign nationals in situations where there is a shortage in the number of available citizens of United States workers. A certification issued by the Department of Labor which states there was indeed no citizen of the United States of America qualified enough to take up the job you were offered at the time. Other things that can be presented are the qualification and proof of expertise of the foreigner i.e. what is the worker's level of expertise?

Foreigners who intend to take up paid employment in Turkey are the applicants of this visa. Applicants of the visa should ensure that they have been offered employment by a Turkish company before they start the visa application process. This visa is to be applied for as soon as you have been offered a job in Turkey. The latest you can lodge an application is one month before your intended entry into Turkey.  A letter is required from your employer in Turkey confirming your employment and the wage statements of the last 3 months. Your credentials and a translated version of the credentials are to be provided and submitted at the embassy as supporting documents for the application. Your employer must confirm that you will not be paid below the minimum wage when you are employed in the country. Proof that there was no Turkish available to take up the job that you were offered by your employer is required. You are required to provide a document that shows you have the incentive of returning to your country. If you are below the age of 30 years, a certificate of good conduct is required. An online application should be completed by your employer at the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) website. The employer should submit the following for a Turkey Work Permit: Work permit application letter Foreign personnel application form The Trade Registry Gazette of Turkey A balance sheet and profit/loss statement for the most recent year Notarized power of attorney for the person authorized to file the online application. A maximum of 30 days is required to be issued the work permit and work visa.

Foreigners who have been offered a skilled job in the United Kingdom are those who can apply for this visa type. The visa can either be a work visa (critical skills), a work visa (intra-country transfer) or a general work visa. Before applying to live in the United Kingdom, you must be employed by a licensed sponsor in the country. Your application must have been thoroughly assessed by your employer before you will be assigned a certificate of sponsorship. You will also need to pay a fee of £19.20 for your biometric features to be captured. The validity of your stay in the United Kingdom is 5 years and 14 days, or the duration stated in your certificate of sponsorship, plus an extra month, whichever is shorter. As part of your application, it is mandatory that you pay a healthcare surcharge. You are required to submit a valid certificate of sponsorship for your job. You must also show that you are being paid an appropriate salary for your job. Applicants must have applied for a work and residence permit in the UK. The process of getting this permit must have been aided by the employer in the UK. With this visa, you can give lectures at higher education institutions as long as it’s not a part-time or full-time role. This visa also allows you to take part in entertainment and sporting activities. You must also provide a criminal record certificate if you will be working with vulnerable people such as in an educational institution, a healthcare institution or as a social worker. You need to get a certificate of sponsorship reference number from your employer to add to your application. It is an electronic record that holds your personal details and information about the job you’ve been offered. The reference number can be used only once within 3 months of getting it.

The work visa is issued to foreigners who wish to enter Russia for employment. For this visa, the expected period of validity for the applicant's passport be nothing less than 18 months from the issue date of the visa. Work visas can be issued for single entry and would be valid for 3 months. They can also be issued for multiple entries and be valid for up to 3 years. The applicant would be asked to present an invitation letter from the employing company. This letter should state a period of validity and contract that corresponds with the validity of the applicant's visa. You are to get an Invitation for entry to the Russian Federation which would be issued by the Russian Federal Migration Service. A visa directive sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation would also be requested. An HIV test certificate would be requested for while applying for the work visa. You are expected to submit it alongside all other valid documents. There is a possibility of extending the work visa on the grounds of labor or civil-labor contracts for work.

This visa is issued to foreigners who have been given paid employment in Germany. This visa is referred to as the Type-D Schengen visa or the National visa. This is a long-stay visa issued for Schengen states. Before initiating the visa application process, you must have gotten a job in the country. To be issued this visa, your reasons must be clearly stated and will be duly indicated on your visa. The national visa grants entry to Germany on the basis that you will be applying for a residence permit. It allows you to enter Germany as a potential resident and stay while you apply for residency.  You are expected to convert your visa into a residence permit within three months of arriving in Germany.  Your visa can only be converted into the corresponding type of residence permit (a visa for work must be converted into a working residence permit). There should be a letter from your employer in the country confirming that you have been offered a job in Germany. The address of the company, as well as your job description, should be clearly stated in the letter. Your employer should provide proof that there was no German available to take a job before you were offered this job.

This visa is issued to those who have been given paid employment in China. It is referred to as the Z visa. The Z visa is also issued to people conducting commercial performance in China. Applicants would be asked to present a government issued working permit or employment license. The Z visa is issued for single-entry only. Holders of Z Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of entry, register and apply for the residence permit in Public Security Bureau (police station).  The residence permit allows multiple entries into China. The permit is valid for a minimum of 90 days and a maximum of 5 years. Note that the duration of stay for applicants is solely determined by what is stated on the Temporary Residence Permit you get after entering China. The age limit for applying for the Z visa is 18 - 60 for all applicants. Applicants not in this bracket can liaise with an employer to help with the process. Applicants might be required to submit supporting documents which include an authentic medical form and criminal history check. If you are not required to submit the medical form, you still need to take a medical check when applying for the Temporary Residence Permit in China. Note that the most common employment in China for foreigners is teaching English for which the minimum qualifications are stated as having English as a first language and having at least a Bachelors's degree and two-year teaching experience.

This visa is issued to people who have been given employment in Japan. The Japan Work visa only covers the kind of work that requires a high level of professional knowledge or skills. Applicants are to fill a visa application form from the embassy and present a valid passport. The company of employment serves as the sponsor for the applicant. Hence, the company is required to present a letter stating the applicant's intending position and expected salary. The company is also expected to ensure that the applicant is issued a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) as this is a vital part of the application process.  Work visas are normally issued to be valid for a period of 1-3 years.    Applicants are required to take their letter of employment and work contract to the embassy for application. For work applicants, a CV containing proof of previous work experience should be submitted along with the contract letter. Applicants are to also get a residence and work permit. A Specified Skills visa has been newly introduced to foreigners coming to Japan for work and it has two sub-types:        The Specified Skills Visa No.1 allows foreigners to work in Japan for a period of 5 years and is immediately accessible for application.        The Specified Skills Visa No.2 allows foreigners to work in Japan indefinitely. It is, however, to be noted that this visa is yet to be released for use. Applicants can renew their work visas if they are found eligible to renew it.

The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration requires the money to be deposited in a Norwegian bank account., this is a general rule.

The employer who sponsors the candidate in South Korea needs to file a work permit application at the Entry Inspection Division of the Immigration Office and the Ministry of Justice before the visa application. The Ministry of Justice then decides on whether the visa should be granted or not. After this, a CCVI (Certificate of Confirmation of Visa Issuance) is issued by the Ministry of Justice which has to be submitted in the Korean Consulate or Embassy by the applicant in India. The South Korean company needs to present its certificate of payment of tax for previous years.  A financial bank statement for the employing company is also fully required. A detailed resume of the applicant is necessary for the process.   A valid passport and a copy of the ID page of the applicant should be brought along with other necessary documents. There should be 2 passport-sized photos attached to the documents.  Copies of the applicant's academic qualifications are required.   A statement reflecting the proposed job description of the applicant and an original contract signed by the company of employment is necessary. A certificate of health issued by a credible hospital in IN should be submitted as well.
