The foundation stone of Satkar Group was laid by Mr. Shivram Shetty in 1966, when he opened the family's first tea stall in Thane. He hailed from Mangalore, came to Mumbai at the age of 10. Started working at a restaurant as a utility boy to make a living and also to fund his own education at night schools. Hardworking and ambitious, he started his entrepreneur career from a tea stall.
