New Zealand issues a visitor visa to individuals who want to travel to New Zealand for tourism, sight-seeing and other recreational purposes.
It also allows the holder to attend festivals, cultural exhibitions and visit friends and relatives.
This visa however does not grant its holder the permission to work while in the country.
Applicants are required to sort out their accommodation before travelling to the country.
The visa fee for Indians 170 NZ$ for hard copy applications and 151NZ$ for online applications.
On arrival in New Zealand, you have to declare all risk items. Risk items include food, plants, wooden products, soil, water, outdoor equipment and animal products.
Employed applicants are to submit a letter from their employer stating that the employer is aware of their trip and has granted the individual an official leave.
It is necessary to have sufficient funds for your trip. A bank statement or salary slip would be required as proof that you can cater for your trip expenses.
Overstaying your visa is an offense.
