Indians traveling to Peru for tourism purposes should apply for the Peruvian tourist visa.
This visa is valid for 183 days in a period of 365 days. It is a single entry visa and cannot be extended.

Visitors traveling with more then $10,000 USD must have it declared upon entry.
In case you need to sign any important contracts (work contract, apartment purchase, marriage certificate...) you need a permission to sign contracts otherwise the papers aren't legal.
You need a permit from the Immigration Office "Dirección General de Migraciones y Naturalizacion".
Visitors must have a return or onward ticket /passage when entering the country. This is a very important law.
Hotel reservation, tourist package reservation or invitation letter must be provided by the visitors depending on their purpose of visit.
Proof of sufficient funds in form of bank statements must be provided.
Proof of legal residency in India must be provided.
If your tourist visa is for whatever reasons is expired, you don't have to fear extreme consequences. When leaving the country you will be asked to pay a "fine" of US$ 1 per day from the expiration of your visa.
You can pay this fee at a branch of the "Banco de la Nación" (i.e. within the vicinity of the airport). After that you get your exit stamp and can leave Peru.
Visitors who cannot pay this fee will be held in custody until someone pays it for them.
Students who intend to study at a Peruvian educational institution or desiring to do an internship or apprenticeship at a Peruvian company can also do so with this visa (as long as the program duration does not exceed 180 days).
If you are under the age of 18 years, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate should be submitted. You are also required to have a letter of consent signed by both your parents if you are traveling alone.

An Indian passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay.
Round trip ticket is required.
Two recent 2 x 2'' passport photographs with white background are required.
Proof of accommodation must be provided.
Proof of sufficient funds to cover entire stay is required.

Travel and medical insurance is required.
Travel itinerary showing dates, time, activities, entry and exit out of the country must be provided.
