Tourist Visa from India to Brazil Description

  • The Brazilian tourist visa is issued to Indians traveling to Brazil for tourism purposes. 
  • This visa is valid for 90 days in a period of 180 days.
  • Foreigners traveling with more than 10,000 BR must have it declared to Customs.
  • Brazilian law requires any minor to have permission from each parent to travel within Brazil or exit the country. 
  • The birth certificate of the minor is required.
  • You must provide proof of your financial ability so as to support yourself financially during your stay in Brazil and for your return transportation. Brazil requires visitors to have at least USD 100 per day for staying in Brazil.
  • Applicants are required to provide proof of sufficient funds this should come in form of a bank statement.
  • Travelers are advised to avoid traveling to the following areas in Brazil:
    • Informal housing developments in Brazil (commonly referred to in Brazil as favelas, vilas, comunidades, and/or satellite cities).
    • Brasilia’s administrative regions (commonly known as “satellite cities”) of Ceilandia, Santa Maria, Sao Sebastiao, and Paranoa during non-daylight hours.
    • Any areas within 150 km of Brazil’s land borders with Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, and Paraguay.
  • Brazilian customs authorities have strict regulations concerning temporarily importing or exporting items such as firearms, antiquities, mineral samples, tropical plants, wildlife, medications, and business and communication equipments.

Tourist Visa from India to Brazil Requirements

  • An Indian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
  • Duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
  • Passport-size photographs (5 cm x 7 cm) taken in white background.
  • Travel document.
  • Proof of financial support.
  • Proof of accommodation.
  • Copy of return flight ticket.
  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country, e.g. verification from applicant’s employer.
  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
  • Copy of travel itinerary.
