This visa is issued to those who plan to study at a Korean university. Applicants are expected to have applied for a Certificate of Admission from a Korean university.  The South Korean student visa is referred to as a D-visa. Korea offers two visas for the purpose of studying. There is the D-2 and the D-4 visas. Both are same in terms of purpose, but differ in the scope of duration of stay. With the D-2 visa, a foreigner can apply for a four-year course or field of study in a University in Korea. The D-4 visa is granted to foreign individuals for carrying out a training course in Korea. The duration of this visa is approximately 6 months but can be extended according to the capability of the student to go further in training. A certificate of recent scholarly achievement (if any) is required. A certificate of bank balance is to be submitted. Applicants need to pay for at least 2 terms of 10 weeks each for an academic year to get the certificate issued and sent of them by the University. On a student visa, you can apply for the right to work part-time after you have studied in Korea for six months. The school of admission will give more information on the dictates of  part-time work system. Other requirements needed for each visa may be requested for by the institution the Indian has applied to or the Korean embassy. Student visas are issued for the time period you will be studying in South Korea. You must have the visa by the time your semester in South Korea begins.

Indians looking to study in Portugal should apply for the Portuguese student visa. There are two types of Portuguese student visa: Schengen short-stay visa: this visa is for students studying for less than 90 days Long-stay visa: this visa is for students studying for more than 90 days. Proof of health insurance coverage of minimum of 30,000 euros must be provided.

The Student Visa is issued to foreigners who have been offered admission to study in an academic institution in Sweden. The original letter of admission from the institution that the applicant has been accepted should be presented during the visa application. You are required to be in possession of the receipt of the tuition fee paid to the institution in Sweden. An original guarantee letter explaining the details of the applicant’s financial situation is required. Minors applying for this visa should ensure they are in possession of the original and two extra copies of their birth certificate. The Italy student visa is a long-term visa granted to students who have already been accepted for admission by a recognized higher educational institute in Italy. The student visa is issued to Indians who intend to study in one of the academic institutions in South Africa. Studying in South Africa is easy for foreigners.   it will usually take three years of full-time study to complete a bachelor's degree, and one or two years to complete a master's degree. International students are allowed to work part-time as long as it does not interfere with your study. Certificates and transcripts from previously attended school should be submitted during the application process.

The Danish student visa is available for Indians intending to study in one of the universities in Denmark. Danish universities are known for being leaders in terms of innovation, as they are keen on investing in world-class research facilities. The Swiss student visa is for Indian looking to study in Switzerland for three months or longer. There are two types of Swiss student visa: Type C study visa – for short courses (summer schools, language schools) that last only for three months. Type D study visa – for courses that last longer than three months. Before you can be granted a visa, you must provide the following documents during visa application: Letter of acceptance issued by a Swiss university or any learning institution. Proof of payment of the registration and tuition fees (original and copy). Letter from the institution in case all expenses for the study will be covered by scholarship or loan. Letter of motivation. If you apply for a Type D visa and plan to stay in Switzerland longer than three months, you will have to arrange to get your residence permit from the cantonal migration offices within 14 days after your arrival. Proof of sufficient financial means to cover your living costs in Switzerland for the duration of schooling is required. Students are required to provide evidence of having 21,000 CHF at the beginning of each year of study. International students can take up part-time work for up to 15 hours a week during the semester and they can work full-time during holidays. But you have to have lived in Switzerland for six months before you can take a job as a student. It is better to schedule the appointment for a visa interview as early as 6 months before your planned day of travel to Switzerland, but no later than ten weeks before. There are no specific language (including  Switzerland official languages Romansh) requirements for a study visa for Switzerland. On the other hand, universities will require proof of language proficiency when you apply. In some cases, the embassy will want to evaluate your language knowledge based on a short interview at the consulate, or even an oral and written test. Unless the application form and all required documents are in French, German or English, you will need a certified translation of all documents into one of these languages.

There are two types of Slovenia student visa: Short-stay visa- this visa is valid for just 90 days. Long-stay visa- this visa is valid for 12 months, and it is also extendable. Students should have at least €300 monthly in order to maintain financial sustenance.  You might be able to work with the Slovenia student visa but you should verify from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Indians can apply for the Austrian student visa if they wish to study in the country. The Austria student visa (Type D visa) is issued to non-immigrant visas for individuals who intend to study in an Austrian institute, college or university for a short period of 6 months. If you are a non-EU/EEA student, federal/public universities in Austria only charge about 363.36-726.72 Euros per semester for tuition fees plus 19.20 Euros for student union membership fee “ÖH-Beitrag” and the student accident insurance fee. To study in Austria, the first thing that counts is the requirement of English. Some universities ask for English proficiency tests and may ask you to demonstrate proficiency in the language by getting certain bands. Basically you should have enough money to support your self when you are in schengen area.

Indians traveling to Czech Republic for study purposes can apply for a study visa. Documentation confirming sufficient financial resources for the duration of your study in Czech Republic is required. Valid health insurance that has a minimum of €30,000 to cover the length of your study is required.  Foreign students visiting the Czech Republic for more than 30 days must register at the Foreign Police Department. Registration must be done within 3 days from the date of arrival into the country.
